I'm Shera, the Owner and Principal Designer at Milieu Studio.

For the past 20 years, my education and career have centered on designing original spaces, and helping people realize their dream renovations through my startup, Sweeten. Now, I’m bringing everything I’ve learned to my own interiors studio in Jersey City. I hope to XXXXXXXXXX

I have two degrees in architecture: a Master of Architecture from Rhode Island School of Design and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, studying one year in France at l’Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Versailles. Through my education, I honed my design practice with an emphasis on concept, craft, and the way we interact with and experience the built environment.

I subsequently launched my career, freelancing for interior architecture and lighting design firms around NYC, before co-founding Sweeten—a venture-backed, tech-enabled, home renovation marketplace—alongside architectural designers Jean Brownhill and Preeti Sriratana.
